Obituary

Sharon (nee Ebert) Barikmo, 69, of Cedarburg, WI passed away on November 18, 2025 surrounded by her family. Sharon was diagnosed with brain cancer in January 2025 and fought bravely until the very end.

Sharon was born on December 14, 1955 to Harvey and Lorraine Ebert. Sharon was the oldest of three daughters. She grew up on Greenview Drive in Mequon. Sharon's childhood was filled with wonderful memories of playing with her neighbors and friends, putting on carnivals, sleeping in the playhouse, and having parades. In 1974, Sharon graduated from Homestead High School. She went to college at Cardinal Stritch University and earned a degree in Liberal Arts.

On March 23, 1985, Sharon married her husband, Michael, at the Pabst Mansion in Milwaukee. Together, they had two daughters; Emily and Katie. Mike and Sharon worked so hard to build a good life for their girls, but one thing was missing…a dog. Despite the many years of pleading and begging from her daughters, Sharon always said no because she didn't want to clean up dog hair. One fateful night in 2009, Sharon had one too many margaritas, and the next day, the girls finally had their dog. Dakota was Sharon's boy and he was the hairiest dog you've ever seen, but Sharon didn't care. He had filled a piece of her heart that she hadn't realized was missing.

Sharon will be remembered as the best Mau Mau to her "babies," Eli and Evelyn. Her grandbabies were the love of her life, and she was never more vibrant and joyful than she was during her time as Mau Mau. During her retirement, she spent many of her days filling them with sweets, rocking them to sleep, and spoiling them. She was lovingly referred to as "Grandma Add-to-Cart." Eli and Evelyn will forever cherish their memories with Mau Mau.

Sharon had a taste for the finer things in life, making every day a special occasion with her eclectic sense of style and glamorous accessories. Her generosity was boundless—she supported numerous organizations close to her heart,

gave gifts "just because," and devoted her time to the Ozaukee County Dems. Sharon was a gifted artist, who will be remembered for the beauty she brought into the world through her paintings, sketches, and beaded creations. Sharon's artwork hangs in the homes of her family and friends, serving as a daily reminder to do what you love.

Sharon is survived by her husband Michael Barikmo, two daughters Emily (Joseph) Brennan and Katie Barikmo, grandchildren; Eli and Evelyn Brennan, sister Laura (Craig) Honish, in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews, and countless other family members and friends. Preceding Sharon in death are her parents, Harvey and Lorraine Ebert, her sister, Lynne Ebert, and her beloved dog, Dakota.
