Sharon (Sherry) A. Allen-Bartel, age 79, of Chino Valley, AZ passed away on August 30th, 2024 at Camp Verde, AZ. She was born on September 5th, 1944 in Chicago, IL to Virgil and Virginia (Heinig)Greer. She was later adopted by Leo Jung.

She graduated from Random Lake High School in Wisconsin in 1962.

On July 28th, 1962 Sherry married Jerry A Nelson in Random Lake, WI; the couple had 5 children together.

Sherry owned Sherry Lynn School of Dance where she taught ballet, baton and tap dance. She worked a number of years at The Portal driving a handicap van. She also sold Sarah Coventry Jewelry and Avon for many years.

Sherry is survived by her spouse Jeffrey M Bartel; children: Kimberly (James) Stuart, Lori (Scott) Gottsacker, Jerry (Charity) Nelson, Christopher (Nichole) Nelson and Jonathan Allen; 10 grandchildren: Jonathan (Krista) Stoller, William Stoller, Alicia Wilkens; Logan, Trent and Tazton Gottsacker; Kirthia, Amanda and Faith Nelson; Connor Nelson. And 3 great grandchildren: Landyn Wilkens, Kaleya Stahl and Haisley Stoller; 2 sisters, Loretta Jung and Barbara (Royal) Dolge; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Virgil Greer; Virginia and Leo Jung and her 2nd husband (love of her life) Harry R Allen.

A graveside burial service will be held on October 18th, 2024 at 11am at St Stephen's cemetery in Batavia, WI
