Sharlene Bley, of West Bend, formerly of the Town of Belgium, peacefully passed away in the evening hours of Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Kathy Hospice in West Bend. She was 91 years old.

Sharlene was born in Random Lake on May 18, 1932, daughter of Walter and Nelda (nee Samse) Berth. She grew up in Random Lake and graduated from Random Lake High School with the class of 1950.

On April 30, 1955, she married the love of her life, Daniel Bley at St. Mary Catholic Church in Lake Church. He preceded her in death in 2008.

She dedicated over 34 years of her life working at Allen-Edmonds in Belgium, leaving a lasting impact on those around her.

Sharlene's joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her love of gardening, tending to her home, and taking pride in caring for her lawn. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life such as doing dishes, playing bingo, board games, and card games. In her younger years, she enjoyed helping her husband Dan with his woodworking hobby.

Sharlene is survived by her four children: Wendy (Glen) DeBlaey, Julie (Leonard) Pautz, Susan (Ken) Murray and Paul (Betty) Bley. She is further survived by her loving grandchildren: Jacqueline, Randy, Nicholas, Revee, Danielle, Kevin, Karen, Landen, and Dylan, 18 great-grandchildren, her sister Marlene Miske, brother-in-law Richard "Steve" Bley, sisters-in-law Patricia Bley and Gloria Berth, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dan, son-in-law John Olson, and nine siblings.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 10th at 6 PM at Divine Savior Parish- Holy Cross Chapel in Belgium. Visitation will take place at the church from 4 PM until the time of Mass. Father Donald Thimm will preside over the Mass.

Sharlene will be laid to rest next to her husband at St. Mary Parish Cemetery in Lake Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Kathy Hospice in West Bend.
