Mr. Scott Callies of Port Washington passed away in his sleep on November 18, 2017, while up at deer camp with his sons. He was 45 years old.
Scott was born on September 3, 1972 in Milwaukee, son of Thomas and Cathy List Callies. He grew up in Saukville, and attended local schools. On July 22, 2000 Scott was united on marriage with Cara Schmidt at Immaculate Conception Church in Saukville. The couple settled in Port Washington and raised their family.
Scott was a member of Iron Workers Local 8. He enjoyed riding his Harley, deer hunting and fishing. He particularly liked cooking and watching cooking shows. Every morning, Scott and Cara could be found walking their pair of huskies, Kari and Davy Jones, down by the lakefront and Rotary Park. Sunday mornings were always spent as a couple, running errands and going to Starbucks. However, Scott's most favorite thing was to be by the side of his two boys.
Survivors include his wife, Cara, sons Zach Dommer of the Town of Belgium and Derrick Callies of Port Washington, mother Cathy Callies of Saukville, grandmother LaDonna List of Marinette, mother-in-law Lora Holst of Port Washington and father-in-law Greg (Rhonda) Eisold of Wauwatosa. He is further survived by brothers- and sisters-in-law Jesse (Katrina) Pycha-Holst of Madison, Bridget (Eric) Roberts of Brown Deer and Brian Eisold of Milwaukee, aunts Ruth (the late Richard) List of Marinette and Maureen (the late Dick) Callies of Oak Creek, uncle Jerry (Mimi) Waara, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends, as well as his wonderful canine companions Kari & Davy Jones. Scott is preceded in death by his father Tom and aunt Sharry Waara.
Funeral Services will be held at 6PM on Monday, November 27th at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington. Father Richard Fleischmann will preside. The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home on Monday from 4PM until the time of services at 6PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are strongly suggested to meet future educational needs for Derrick and Zach.
