Sally Sharbuno, 90, of Port Washington, WI was called to her heavenly home on Saturday, October 16, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born the daughter of Fred and Kate Ullerich on March 1, 1931 in Waupun, WI. She married Gordon Sharbuno on August 11, 1951 and together they just celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.
Sally lived life to the fullest. She loved gardening, taking care of the altar flowers at Church, and playing golf with the Hawthorne Honeys. An avid snowmobiler, Sally spent many of the winter weekends riding the trails in the Northwoods. She loved to play bridge and sheepshead regularly with her friends. She was an active volunteer at St. Mary's Catholic Church and sang for many years in the Church choir. Sally touched too many hearts to count, and she will be missed by all.
She worked for years alongside her husband at the family's downtown Port Washington store, Shabuno Jewelers, and served as the bookkeeper for the business
Sally will remain in the hearts of her devoted husband Gordon, her children Jeanne Sharbuno of Atlanta, GA, Bob Charbonneau of Minneapolis, MN, and Tom Sharbuno of Port Washington; grandchildren Kristi, Kyle, Ryan, Lane & Cale; great-grandchildren Karlie, Brady, Abigial, Maverick, Avery, and Kaylynn.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at St. John XXIII Catholic Parish, St. Mary's Church site in Port Washington with Father Patrick Wendt presiding. The family will receive visitors at the church from 11:00AM until the time of service. Immediately following the Mass, Sally will be laid to rest at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Port Washington.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Sally's name to St. Mary Catholic Church, Port Washington, and the Wisconsin Humane Society, Ozaukee Campus.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nursing staff at Froedtert Hospital, Newcastle Place, and Lawliss Family Hospice for their devoted care. A special thank you to Wayne and Janet Sharbuno for lovingly going above and beyond.
