SALLY A. KRUEGER Mrs. Sally Krueger of Spring Street in Port Washington passed away Friday evening August 5 2011 at her home while surrounded by her loving family. She was 82 years old. Sally was born at the family home in the Town of Belgium daughter of Phillip and Anna Meyer Karrels. She was united in marriage with Warren Krueger on June 25 1949 at St .Mary's Catholic Church in Port Washington. The couple settled in Port and raised six children. Warren preceded her in death in 1999. Sally worked as a Nurses Aide first at Heritage Nursing Home and later at St. Alphonsus Hospital. She retired in 1996 after almost 36 years on the job. Mrs. Krueger was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church as well as a member of the Christian Women's group and the Port Washington Senior Center. When her children were younger Sally was a Cub Scout den mother. She enjoyed playing cards and was an accomplished Bridge player as well as being a seamstress and even trying her hand at upholstery. Her most important job was being a full time grandmother and taking care of her family. Sally is survived by her six children: Debrah (James) Johnson of Marshfield Sandra (Timothy) Lockwood of St. Francis Scott (Judy) Krueger of Saukville Bill (Patty) Krueger Rick (Renea) Krueger and Mike (Heather) Krueger all of Port Washington. She is further survived by 18 grandchildren 9 great-grandchildren 2 brothers: Milton (Jean) Karrels of Florida and Leo Karrels of Port Washington 2 sisters: Juliann (Wilfred) Burmesch of Port Washington and Betty (Wayne) Skebba of Cedarburg 2 sisters-in-law: Joan Biever of Port Washington and Vivian Last of Cedarburg nieces nephews other relatives and many friends. A Memorial Mass will take place at 6:30 PM on Tuesday August 9th at St. Mary's Catholic Church Port Washington. Father Patrick Wendt will officiate. She will be laid to rest the next morning in the parish cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH on Tuesday from 4-6:30 PM. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
