RUTH H. ZIEGER Mrs. Ruth Zieger age 78 formerly of Saukville Port Washington and Townsend area passed away at Mequon Care Center in Mequon WI on Sunday. August 17 2003. Ruth was born April 24 1925 in Milwaukee daughter of William and Edna Lamp Zweigler. She grew up in the Milwaukee - Waukesha area graduating from Custer High School. She married Aurthur Betzhold in Milwaukee in 1948. The couple had seven children together. On April 21 1969 she married Ernst Zieger in Port Washington. The couple lived in Saukville before moving to the Townsend area where they remained until 1986. After Ernst died Ruth moved to Port Washington. She has resided in Mequon for the last three years. Mrs. Zieger was a member at St. Mark's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing Bingo sewing knitting bowling and staying involved with her family and grandchildren. She is survived by her seven children: Daniel Betzhold Terry Betzhold of Oregon Ardell Betzhold of Milwaukee Donna McIntosh of Arizona Sharon (Donald) Kroll of Cedar Grove Joyce Slezak of Saukville and Judith (Michael) Ralph of Gillett 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She is further survived by 3 brothers: Eugene Richard and Wayne (Terri) Zweigler 2 sisters: Marcella Thiel and Dolores (Paul) Kosmedar all of the Menomonee Falls area nieces nephews other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday August 20 2003 at 7 PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home in Port Washington. Ruth will be laid to rest next to Ernst at Immanuel Cemetery Cedarburg. The family will receive visitors at the Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 W.
