Mrs. Ruth Williams, of Grafton, formerly of Milwaukee, passed away in the early morning hours of Sunday, November 21, 2021, at Lasata Care Center in Cedarburg. She was 95 years old. Ruth was born in Milwaukee on December 30, 1925, daughter of Frank J. Rieger and Louise Siefert Rieger. She grew up in Milwaukee, graduating from Milwaukee Washington High School with the class of 1944. In 1946, she married Harry Williams. He preceded her in death in 2001. Ruth was an avid painter, who enjoyed painting in rosemaling, a traditional Norwegian style of painting. Her family had many of her handmade pieces. In her younger years, she enjoyed traveling throughout the United States with the Harnischfeger Retirees Club, of which Harry was the vice president. She was a huge Green Bay Packers fan and was also very involved in her grandchildren's lives. Ruth was the beloved mother of the late Georgia Anne (Russell) Dzwinel, and a special "Nana" to Jason (Julie) Dzwinel of Grafton, Kristin (Bob) Nell of Jackson, and Lara (Chris) Roehrig of Erie, CO. She is further survived by six great-grandchildren: Johnathan, Lillian, Bennett, Nora, Emerson, and Alyssa, her great-great-granddaughter Harper, other relatives, and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, her daughter, and her brother Robert Rieger. She will be laid to rest in a private funeral service at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee.
