Ruth C. Wester (nee Pierron) of Port Washington, passed away peacefully at Harbor Club on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at the age of 90. She was born on November 22, 1927 to Peter and Catherine (nee Heinen) in Port Washington. Ruth married the late Norman Wester at the St. Rose Chapel in Fredonia on October 8, 1949 and together they had one son. Ruth was a graduate from Port Washington High School. She spent three years at Fort Hood, TX while Norman served in the United States Army Corps. Ruth and Norman spent winters in Apache Junction, AZ. She enjoyed cooking and baking. Ruth crocheted and knitted in her free time. She was a founding member and past president of the Belgium Legion Auxiliary and was previously active in Christian Ladies at St. Mary Lake Church. Ruth is survived by her son Dean (fiancé Nancy Kreutzer) Wester; sisters-in law Joann Schmit, Mary Ann Wester, Darlene Wester. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband and her sister Rita Pierron. A Funeral Service for Ruth will be at 6:00PM on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Eernisse Funeral Home (171 N. Royal Ave. Belgium, WI 53004) with Father Guy Gurath presiding. Visitation will be at the FUNERAL HOME from 3:00PM until the time of service. Ruth will be laid to rest next to her husband at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Fredonia. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association of WI.
