Obituary

RUTH I. VANDERSPOOL Ruth Vanderspool age 82 years of 405 Vernon Ave. Thiensville died Thursday morning July 26 2007 at Columbia St. Mary's Hospital in Mequon. She was born August 27 1924 in Libertyville IL daughter of William and Bertha Kuebker Atwell. On April 20 1946 she married Jack Vanderspool in Ivanhoe IL. He preceded her in death in 1992. Ruth and Jack owned and operated Merchant's Wholesale a building materials distributor in Brown Deer. She was a member of Mequon United Methodist Church the Red Hatters American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed traveling photography golfing boating her grandchildren and her special circle of friends. Ruth volunteered for many organizations including Children's Hospital and the Frank L. Weyenberg Library in Mequon. Jack and Ruth were members of the Port Washington Yacht Club and moored their boat in the Port Washington Marina. Funeral Sunday eve. July 29 6 PM at Mequon United Methodist Church 11011 N. Oriole Lane Mequon with Rev. Wesley White officiating. Private burial in Waubeka Union Cemetery. Visitation at the CHURCH Sunday from 4-6 PM. Ruth is survived by her two children Gary (Jill) Vanderspool of Cedarburg and Debbie (David) Wickesberg of Saukville and four grandchildren Erin and Megan Vanderspool and Chad and Ryan Wickesberg. She was preceded in death by one brother Walter Atwell. Memorials to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society appreciated. The Eernisse Funeral Home Port Washington is assisting the family with arrangements. br /Service:br /6:00 PM at 11011 N.
