Mrs. Ruth Thomas of Plymouth, formerly of Adell, passed peacefully into her Saviors arms on Monday, October 27, 2025, at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls, while surrounded by her loving family. She was 81 years old.
Ruth was born in Port Washington on August 18, 1944, the daughter of Edward and Gertrude (nee Mayer) Weyker, Sr. She grew up near Fredonia and attended local schools.
On August 25, 1962, Ruth was united in marriage with Paul M. Thomas at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Saukville. The couple lived in Fredonia, Belgium, and Random Lake before they purchased their home in Adell. Ruth raised their family of seven children with love and care. They moved to Plymouth in 1995. Paul preceded Ruth in death in 2017.
Mrs. Thomas was a member of St. John the Baptist Parish in Plymouth. She enjoyed word-finds and puzzles, playing Bingo, reading, and dancing to polka music. Family was very important to her, and she loved the time spent with her grandkids and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her children Wayne (Laurie) Thomas, Denise Thomas (special friend Mike LaDuke), Karen Thomas-Jankowski, Mary (Mark) Jensen, William Thomas (special friend Beth Thurston), Connie (Jason) Vorpahl, and Lisa (Joe) Burmesch. She is further survived by 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren (with two more expected soon), sister Marjorie Rausch, brother Donald (the late Theresa) Weyker, numerous nieces and nephews, other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Paul, and brother Edward (the late Anna Marie) Weyker, Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at St. John the Baptist Congregation, 115 Plymouth Street, Plymouth WI. The family will receive visitors at the church on Saturday, November 1st, from 9AM until Mass begins at 11AM. Ruth will be laid to rest beside her husband at St. Patrick Parish Cemetery in Adell later that day.
Memorials, if desired, should be directed to Sharon S. Richardson Hospice in Ruth's name.
