Ruth Mueller age 104 of Saukville passed away in the afternoon hours of Thursday August 7 2008 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 6 1904 in La Porte IN daughter of Albert and Hulda Kelk Vedder. She was orphaned at the age of 10 and then came to live with the Simon and Mary Albinger family in Filmore. On December 12 1922 she married John P. Mueller at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Saukville. John preceded her in death in 1941. After raising her nine children Ruth went to work in the kitchen at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center until her retirement in 1969. She was the oldest member of Immaculate Conception Church andwas also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Saukville Historical Society. She enjoyed working on her familyrsquo;s genealogy collecting bells gardening photography and was an avid reader. Ruth is survived by her children Doris (the late Jerome) Smith of Oostburg Reginald (Helen) Mueller of Cedarburg Thomas (Dina) of Livermore CA Caroline (Edwin) Klaport of Seattle WA Robert (Carol) Mueller of Fredonia and Frederick (Dorothy) Mueller of Port Washington. She is further survived by 32 grandchildren 35 great-grandchildren 8 great-great grandchildren daughter-in-law Sharon Mueller of Las Vegas NV nieces nephews other relatives and many friends. She is preceded in death by her husband 3 sons Noel John Nicholas and Eugene 1 brother Wilber (the late Esther) Priewe and 3 daughters-in-law Billie Frieda and Una Mae. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday August 11th at 7 PM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Saukville with Father Karl Acker officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in St. Maryrsquo;s Cemetery in Saukville. Visitation will take place at the Church on Monday August 11th from 4-7 PM.
