Obituary

Mrs. Ruth Laubenstein of West Bend formerly of Fredonia passed away Tuesday evening November 27 2012 at Fields of Washington County in West Bend. She was 90 years old. Ruth was born June 11 1922 in Belgium the daughter of Charles and Ida Krause Noster. On June 22 1940 she was united in marriage with Gerhard Laubenstein at St. John's Lutheran Church in Fredonia. He preceded her in death in 2003. Throughout her life Ruth worked at Power Products in Grafton Peterson Industries in Fredonia and also the Cook at Ozaukee High School for many years. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Fredonia where she taught Sunday School and belonged to the Ladies Aid. Ruth helped start the Fredonia Boy Scout Troop and enjoyed cooking and embroidery. She also loved playing sheepshead and watching the Brewers games. Ruth is survived by her children: Pat (Ken) Kasten of West Bend Gary (Kris) Laubenstein of Germantown and Jan (K.C.) Ward of Greenfield. She is further survived by grandchildren: Chuck (Eileen) Kasten of Port Washington Dan Kasten of Milwaukee and Paul (Molly) Kasten of Sheboygan Nate (Arica) Laubenstein of Bay View and Anneliese Ward of Greenfield; great-grandchildren: Melissa and MaryEllen Kasten her great-great-grandson Maximus Herber sisters-in-law Renata Schultz of Rochester MN and Nelda (the late Earl) Trost of Cortez CO. She is further survived by nieces nephews other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Gerhard and 2 grandchildren Debbie and Sherrie Kasten and siblings Viola Dale Norma Lovejoy Dorothy Jarvis Millie Stemper and Fred Noster. Funeral services will be held Saturday December 1 12 noon at St. John's Lutheran Church 824 Fredonia Ave. Fredonia. The Rev. Robert Zick will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the church on Saturday from 10 am - 12 noon. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to St. John's Lutheran Church in Fredonia.
