Ruth Jaquish Ruth Jaquish 71 years of Port Washington went to the Lord Sunday March 23 2003 at her son's home in Kenosha. She was born September 26 1931 in Port Washington daughter of the late Ray and Alice Blumenberg Gahan. On January 13 1951 she married Jack Jaquish in Port Washington. He preceded her in death in May of 1959. Ruth got remarried in Hawaii in on February 13 1975 to Henry Blasing. He passed away in February of 1991. Ruth worked for many years at Smith Brothers Restaurant in Port Washington as the kitchen manager and before that was self-employed. Ruth enjoyed helping people and has been described as a people person. Her other joys in life included gardening bird-watching and her dogs. She is survived by her son Patrick (Christine) Jaquish of Kenosha daughter-in-law Mary Jaquish of Oostburg stepdaughter Bonnie (Don) Lunde of Port Washington stepson Bob (Barbara) Blasing of Port Washington 7 grandchildren; Ian Jaquish Sean Jaquish Daniel Jaquish USN GM3 and Alex JaquishUSN SA and Erica and Sarah Lunde 3 brothers Raymond (Barbara) Gahan of West Bend Frank (Joann) Gahan and John Gahan both of Port Washington and 3 sisters Lucille Ikner of Milwaukee Margie Istri of Lake Charles LA and Rosemary Mudak of Herman Town MN nieces nephews other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her two husbands and her son Daniel Jaquish. A memorial service for Ruth will be held at the Eernisse Funeral Home in Port Washington on Saturday March 29 at 7 PM with Pastor Mike Calacci of Lake County IL officiating. A gathering of friends and family will take place Saturday from 4 PM until the time of the services.
