nbsp; RUTH H. RUNKEL Ruth Runkel age 88 years of Port Washington passed away Thursday evening February 24 2011 at Heritage Nursing Home in Port Washington where she had been a patient for the past several months.nbsp; She was born July 27 1922 in Port Washington daughter of Edward and Dora Maechtle Runkel.nbsp; She attended nursing school in Freeport IL and worked at various Veterans Administration Hospitals until coming to St. Alphonsus Hospital in Port Washington working as a surgical nurse until retiring.nbsp; She was a member of Grand Avenue United Methodist Church and enjoyed fishing and watching the Brewers and Packers.nbsp; She is survived by four nieces Barbara (Harold) Aagerup of Port Washington Jeanne (Tom) Faust of Omro Judy (Joe) Barnett of Ripon JoAnnnbsp; Runkel of Toronto CN two nephews Alan (Lila) Runkel of Brookfield and Bob Runkel of Monterey CA.nbsp; She was preceded in death by her parents her brother Edwardnbsp; Runkel and her niece Holly Runkel.nbsp; Funeral services will be held on Wednesday March 2 3 PM at Grand Ave. United Methodist Church 505 W. Grand Ave. Port Washington with Pastor David Guse officiating.nbsp; Burial will be in Union Cemetery Port Washington.nbsp; Friends may call at the CHURCH Wednesday from 1-3 PM.nbsp; In lieu of flowers memorials to Grand Ave. United Methodist Church appreciated.
