Russell Silva, of Port Washington, was called to his heavenly home on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. He was born in Honolulu, HI, on August 9, 1944, to David and Evelyn (nee Santos) Silva. Russell was united in marriage to Ann Royko, in South Carolina on December 10, 2012.
Russell graduated with a bachelor's degree from Chaminade University, in Honolulu. Following college, he dedicated 30 years as manager at IBM. Shortly after his retirement, he worked as a CTO, and CFO, for the Girl Scouts of Rhode Island. Russell would dedicate 15 years to this career and had a passion for the work. Outside of his career, he was a self-taught tailor, an avid cook, and enjoyed woodworking projects. He enjoyed sharing his projects with his friends and loved ones.
Russell is survived by his wife, Ann Royko; his children, Peter (Judy) Silva, Jamie (John) Van Dyck, and Jennifer (Christopher) Walsh; honorary children, Michael Mariani, Christopher (Carol) Mariani, Sherri (Marc) Franzman, Alexandra (Michael) Stark, Catherine (TJ Kupetz) Royko; grandchildren, Mahea, Natalie, Owen and Liam; honorary grandchildren, Samantha, Siena, Olivia, Bianca, Amelia, Ella, Luca, Kylie, and William; his brothers Vern (Terry) Silva, and Gene (Yvonne) Silva; and his former wife, Barbara Carroll. He is further survived by many other relatives and friends.
Russell was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Valerie (Ronald) Lau.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00pm on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at St. John XXIII Catholic Parish- St. Peter of Alcantara Chapel, 1800 N. Wisconsin St., Port Washington, WI. His family will receive guests at the church from 11:00am until the time of service. Russell will be laid to rest in Honolulu, HI.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton, for their attentive care of Russell.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association, and St. John XXIII Catholic Parish, Port Washington, WI.
The Eernisse Funeral Home of Port Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
