Russell Alan Lund Russ Lund age 68 of Saukville WI passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Horizon Hospice St. Mary's Ozaukee after a courageous battle with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia and Myelodysplastic Syndrome. He underwent a stem cell transplant on May 23 2012 at Froedtert Hospital. He was born on August 31 1943 in Berlin WI son of the late Clarence and Sylvia (Misky) Lund. He attended Berlin schools and graduated in 1961 from Oshkosh High School. Russ was a veteran of the US Navy. On March 1 1973 Russ married the love of his life Shirley Pisca. Russ held an Electrical Engineering Degree from Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He was employed by Wisconsin Bell-Ameritech for 25 years. He also worked for Strategic Business Services and was an adjunct professor at Moraine Park Technical College and Lakeland College. For the past ten years Russ owned and operated Cornerstone Professional Services Inc. Russ was a 32 year member of St. Peter's of Alcantara Church. Russ served as President of the Saukville Chamber of Commerce; President of St. Peter's Men's Club and was a member of the St. Peter's Folk Choir and the Saukville American Legion. Russ had a passion for business was extremely analytical and was an excellent teacher and listener. He loved the outdoors especially northern Wisconsin where he enjoyed many vacations with his family. Russ loved to play the guitar and sing. Every year Russ looked forward to hunting season and the holidays especially Thanksgiving in Phillips WI. Russ is survived by his loving wife of 39 years Shirley; his son Bryan (Brenda) and their children Jennifer and Brooke; his daughters Erica Schultz (Bill) and their children Morgan Spencer and Trevin and Valerie Biever (Peter Paschke) and her daughter Paige and Paige's father Doug Biever. His sisters Jo Ann (Robert) Eckhardt and Marly Lund and his brother Bill Lund. He is further survived by his in-laws Pat Blaker Carol Bob Trampf Sally Ken Denzine and Marc Rob Jamo as well as many nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Russ very much and the supportive and loving family of Tammy Ryan Zack Zoe. He was preceded in death by his parents his father and mother-in-law Peter and Elsie Pisca his sister-in-law Shirley Lund his brother-in-law Bill Blaker his niece LeAnn Eckhardt and great niece Rachel Bonzo. The family will greet visitors at the Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 W. Grand Ave. in Port Washington on Tuesday August 7th from 3-7:30PM followed by military honors and a brief prayer service. A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday August 8th at St. Peter's of Alcantara Catholic Church 1800 N. Wisconsin St. Port Washington with a brief visitation from 10-10:30 AM. Father Patrick Wendt will preside. Inurnment will be in Lakeside Cemetery Phillips WI. A memorial fund has been established in his name.
