RUBY E. KNIGHT Mrs. Ruby Knight of Sunset Road in Port Washington WI formerly of Woodridge IL passed away Thursday evening November 18th 2010 at Columbia-St. Maryrsquo;s Ozaukee Campus in Mequon.nbsp; She was a month shy of her 80th birthday.nbsp; Ruby was born on December 23 1930 in Morgan County Kentucky daughter of John L. and Dessie Ferol Withrow Ward.nbsp; She graduated from Erie School in Olive Hill KY.nbsp; Ruby was united in marriage with Frank R. Knight on January 20 1951 at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Chicago IL. The couple settled in Chicago and later moved to Woodridge IL.nbsp; Frank preceded her in death in 1998 and Ruby later moved to Port Washington.nbsp; Mrs. Knight enjoyed going out with ldquo;the girlsrdquo; at Maplecrest frequently going on junkets to area casinos and the Fireside Theatre.nbsp; In her younger days she was very involved with her childrenrsquo;s lives and activities including being a Girl Scout leader and a room mother.nbsp; She was an excellent cook and homemaker.nbsp; Ruby enjoyed playing cards bingo and canasta as well as doing ceramics and sewing.nbsp; Her ldquo;secret reciperdquo; potato salad will be missed by many.nbsp; Mrs. Knight is survived by her four daughters: Linda (Thomas) Brown of Port Washington WI Donna (William) Hardman of Sandwich IL Sharon (Bela) Szeifert of Cedar Grove WI and Karen (James) Hawkins of Hardy VA.nbsp; She is further survived by nine grandchildren: Michael Jason Christina Austin Kyle Logan Brandon Hunter and Chandler two sisters: Louella Thomas of Morehead KY and Agnes (James) Patterson of East Ridgenbsp;TN nieces nephews other relatives and many friends. Ruby is preceded in death by her husband Frank two grandsons Alex and Isaac one brother Elijah Finley Ward and five sisters: Maude Kopack Vada Sue Russel Elizabeth Ison Barbara Gifford and Frances Cassity.nbsp; Funeral services will be held at 1PM on Tuesday November 23 at Friedens Evangelical Church 454 N. Milwaukee St. Port Washington.nbsp; Pastor Brandon Lemons will officiate.nbsp; She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Assumption Cemetery Wheaton IL the following day.nbsp; The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH on Tuesday from 11AM-1PM.nbsp; br /Service:br /p1:00 PM at Friedens Evangelical Church 454 N.
