Obituary

Mrs. Rosemary Gavin of Belgium was reunited with her loving husband on Saturday morning, August 22, 2026. She passed away peacefully at the home of her son & daughter-in-law where she had been residing since February.

Rosemary was born in Port Washington on November 19, 1953, the daughter of Lloyd and Joyce (nee Lemke) Schultz. Rosemary graduated from Grafton High School, Class of 1972, where she had been an enthusiastic member of the choir.

On May 8, 1976, Rosemary was united in marriage with Patrick Gavin at Grace Lutheran Church. The Gavin’s bought their home in Belgium in 1989. Patrick preceded Rosemary in death in December of 2025.

Mrs. Gavin was the bow-machine operator at Holiday Trims in Belgium for almost 35 years. She enjoyed her work and was quite proud of her role at the company.

A self-proclaimed chocoholic, Rosemary loved chocolate in all its forms. She had a passion for music and loved to sing and dance. Whether dancing in the living room to Classic 80’s rock, singing hymns, or rock anthems with her family during karaoke. In years past, she always liked trips to visit family in Tomahawk and other places up north. More recently, she enjoyed taking drives, singing to her custom playlist & taking walks visiting downtown Cedarburg with her daughter-in-law, Courtnay.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son Aaron (daughter-in-law Courtnay) Gavin of Cedarburg, grandchildren Cassidy, Isabelle, Avery, Nora, Aria, Violet, Mahkylee, and Jayden. She is further survived by sisters Tracy Schultz and Wendy Albrecht, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Rosemary is preceded in death by her beloved husband Patrick, their son Trevor, her parents Lloyd and Joyce Schultz, and her brother Randy Schultz.

A Celebration of Life is being planned for a future date.
