Rosemary Helen (Kleckner) Feyereisen, 87, joined the heavenly Father in the early morning hours on Monday, September 10th surrounded by family members at her home in Belgium.
Rosemary was born on September 2nd, 1931 to Peter and Anastasia (Strauss) Kleckner. She grew up on the family farm in the town of Belgium and attended grade school at Holy Cross. She spent time taking care of her siblings and learning the many skills of keeping a home from her mother. She spent time working at the canning factory and the shoe factory until she met Herman Feyereisen, with whom she would go out often to the local dance halls, to the movies, and other gatherings.
On May 3, 1952, Herman and Rosemary were married at Holy Cross Church with a complete day of celebration. They settled on Herman's family farm in Belgium, WI. There, together, they raised a family of 9 children. She taught her children by tradition, especially at Christmas, by example and by sharing her wisdom along with letting them explore.
Rosemary was a devout Catholic and attended Our Lady of the Lakes, St Nicholas Chapel in Dacada, where she was a member and officer of the St. Nicholas Christian Mother's society. She kept herself busy by raising a family, helping Herman on the farm, and took pride in taking care of her home and providing for her family. Rosie cooked and baked homemade breads and apple kuchen. She also sewed for her family and quilted, making each of her children and grandchildren quilts as well as many others. She was an avid gardener, providing for her family by freezing and preserving the food she gathered and had many rows of beautiful flowers which often brightened up the kitchen table. Rosemary enjoyed some traveling later in life with both Herman and her daughters. She also enjoyed going to church dinners, listening to polka music, cherishing her outside cats and needlepointing.
The thing she cherished most of all though, was being a mother, grandma and great grandma. She often would take care of grandkids for a week or weekend and later in life babysitting part time. With the help of her camera, she loved capturing and sharing the memories of her time with family and friends along with the many improvements made on the farm. She could watch her children grow by the tradition the Easter and Christmas pictures taken of the kids growing up.
Those that are here on earth to cherish her memory are as follows: her husband, Herman Feyereisen, Belgium, her children Dianne (Michael) Angst, West Allis, Donald Feyereisen, Belgium, Linda (Charles) Witkowski, Franklin, Kathleen (Charles) Dieringer, Saukville, Nancy (Gary) Zimmer, Cedar Grove, Teresa(David) Grosshiem, Oostburg, Mary (Bryan) Feyereisen, Oconomowoc, Cynthia (Thomas) Oskey, Sussex, Debra (Robert) Poull, Port Washington, 31 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren with another on the way. She is furthered survived by eight of her siblings, Virginella (the late Roman) Gonwa, Belgium; Delmar Kleckner, Basin, Wyo.; Roman Kleckner, Fredonia; Francis (Betty) Kleckner,
Belgium; Daniel Kleckner, Delafield; Barbara (the late Joe) Barrett, Pewaukee; John (Kay) Kleckner, Fredonia; and James Kleckner, Fredonia; Sister-in-law Genevieve (the late Milan) Polenska, Waupun, Rosalie (the late Lawrence) Feyereisen, Cedar Grove as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was greeted in heaven by her parents, sister and brother-in-law Alois and Agnes Hurias, and in-laws Lawrence and Leona Rupp, Rev. Nicholas J. Feyereisen, and John and Elizabeth Biever.
