Obituary

Rosemary Elizabeth (nee Kleckner) Petesch of rural Fredonia went to her Savior on July 23 2012 at Lynnwood of Delafield. She was 84 years old. Rosemary was born on September 25 1927 at her family's farm near Port Washington the third child of John and Catherine (nee Schumacher) Kleckner. She completed her elementary education at Holy Cross Parish School and began working at the Port Washington Chair Factory at the age of 16. She met the love of her life Henry J. Petesch at Memories formerly Weiler's and they were united in marriage on September 8 1951. Rose was a devoted wife mother grandmother and great-grandmother who supported and took great pride in her family's accomplishments. As a member of the Ladies' Sodality of St. Rose Parish of Fredonia Rose contributed her time and cooking talents for Rosemary School and church events lemon meringue pie being her specialty. Her love of gardening was best displayed with a huge bicentennial flag of petunias on the family farm. Rose was also an accomplished seamstress and quilter acting as a 4-H sewing project leader hand-beading her granddaughter's wedding dress and gifting a hand-made quilt for her six grandchildren on their college graduation. Some of her favorite pastimes were Sheepshead and Bingo. After her daughters entered school Rose engaged in a variety of occupations - apple-picking at Appleland Orchard transformer fabrication at Hi-Tran waitressing at Harry's Restaurant cooking at Heritage Nursing Home and private home cleaning. Honored to have known and loved her she will be greatly missed by her husband of 60 years Henry; daughters Kathy (Jim) Casey of rural Randolph Connie (Dan) Holzmiller of Oconomowoc and MaryBeth Petesch (John Lemberger) of Oshkosh; six grandchildren Billie-Jo Casey(Chad) Brusveen Jonathan Casey (Fran) Katie Holzmiller (Sal) Trujillo Kara Holzmiller Anna Lemberger and John Lemberger; and eight great-grandchildren Maximilian Gabriel Lilia and Xavier Casey Ashton and Briella Brusveen and Ricky and Solomon Trujillo. Rosemary is further survived by her siblings: Earl (Mary Jane) Kleckner of Waubeka Eleanor Prom of Belgium and Lorraine (Donald) Large of Port Washington nieces nephews other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her siblings Marie Henry and Robert Kleckner. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6PM on Thursday July 26 at Divine Savior Parish Holy Cross Chapel 5530 Hwy B in Holy Cross with Father James Ernster presiding. Rosemary will be laid to rest in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Fredonia. The family will receive visitors at the church on Thursday from 4-6PM. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Rosemary School in Fredonia. The family wishes to thank the staffs of Lynnwood of Delafield; Allay Hospice of Brookfield Serenity Villa in Slinger; The Gables in Random Lake for their personal attention love and wonderful care given to Rosemary and her family.
