Obituary

Rosa M. Zingsheim Rosa Zingsheim age 70 years of Port Washington died Saturday Dec. 11 2010 at St. Lukersquo;s Medical Center in Milwaukee from complications of pancreatic cancer.nbsp; She was born Dec. 2 1940 in Nandaime Nicargua to Victor Romero and Josefana Sandino de Romero.nbsp; She left home at age fourteen to train as a nurse in hospitals operated by Carmelite nuns in Bluefields and Puerto Cabezas.nbsp; She came to the USAnbsp; on July 4 1960 and worked at Carmelite orphanages and nursing homes in Michigan Indiana Missouri and Milwaukee.nbsp; On May 24 1969 she married Joe Zingsheim at St. Vincent De Paul Church Milwaukee and moved to Port Washington in 1975.nbsp; She worked at St. Lukersquo;s Medical Center for 9 years and retired from Simplicity Mfg. after twenty-four years.nbsp; She became a US Citizen and was proud that after completing the citizenship course at Shorewood HS night school she was more knowledgeable about US government and civics than many native born citizens.nbsp; She was an excellent cook/baker and avid crafter in sewing embroidery crochet and knitting.nbsp; She was a very vocal presence at her granddaughterrsquo;s soccer games.nbsp; She was a member of the Port Washington Womenrsquo;s and Garden Clubs and special friends with the Grafton Yarn Store Knitters.nbsp; She is survived by her husband Joe daughters Ana (Rich) Farnsworth of Grafton and Yolanda (Paul) Horwich of Milwaukee granddaughters Gabriella Olivia Mercedes Marcella and MariAna her sister Milena (Tom) Thelen of Milwaukee and brothers in California and Nicargua.nbsp; She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Mercedes.nbsp; A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday Dec. 18 1PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church 1619 Washington St. Grafton with Father Mike Barrett officiating.nbsp; Friends may call at the CHURCH Saturday from 11 AM until time of services.nbsp; Special thanks to doctors nurses and staff at Columbia St. Maryrsquo;s Ozaukee Aurora Grafton and St. Lukersquo;s Medical Center 3EF MRICU and 12th floor oncology.nbsp; In lieu of flowers memorials to St. Maryrsquo;s Parish Honduras Twinning Project 409 Jefferson St. West Bend WInbsp;nbsp; 53090 appreciated.nbsp; The Eernisse Funeral Home Port Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.nbsp;nbsp; br /Service:br /pspan style=font-size: 12pt;span style=font-family: Times New Roman;nbsp;/span/span1:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church 1619 Washington St. Grafton WI 53024 on December 18 2010 (a href=http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?city=Graftonamp;state=WIamp;address=1619 Washington St.amp;zip=53024amp;country=usamp;zoom=8 target=_blankmap/driving directions/a)/p
