Obituary

Mrs. Ronda Goetsch of Sherman Center died early Wednesday, December 8, 2021, a peaceful snowy morning, at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls. She was 64 years old. Ronda was born January 25, 1957 in Sheboygan, daughter of Harold and Joyce Junge Mueller. She grew up in Random Lake and attended local schools, graduating from Random Lake High School - Class of 1975, and continued her education at UW Milwaukee where she earned her degree in education in 1979. On September 14, 1990, Ronda was united in marriage with Joel "Roger" Goetsch. The couple made their home in the Town of Sherman on the family homestead. He preceded Ronda in death on December 5th. Mrs. Goetsch was an elementary teacher at St. Mary's Catholic School, later Our Lady of the Lakes Parish School, where she taught for 36 years. She was a faithful member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish and a longtime member of the church choir. Ronda enjoyed time with her husband watching all types of car racing and working together as long time pit crew members for sprint car racing. Ronda was very involved with her family and loved curating their history. She was a proud big sister and "second mom" to her siblings when they were younger, and later became a "supporting second mother" to her nephew and niece, Jordan and Courtney. Ronda had a reverence for teaching children, tutored in her downtime, and had fun influencing students' cognitive skills through the game of chess. She was very musical, could play any instrument she took an interest in, sang like a bird and never passed up a dance. Growing up by the lake, Ronda found peace simply being near the water. After her husband developed health issues Ronda became his caregiver. Ronda worked extremely hard in her life but maintained a sweet sense of humor, a close touch to the needs of her family and friends, a foresight to the requirements for better future generations, a dedication to everything that was needed and a craving to explore the world. Those left to cherish her memory include siblings Ron Mueller, Lori (Jeff) Kohl, Jeff (Cindy) Mueller, Jack Mueller, Jill (Jesse) Anklam and Mark Mueller, sisters- and brothers-in-law Jackie (Bob) Deppisch, Jodine Deppisch and James (LuAnn) Goetsch, uncle Jerome (the late Annette) Junge and aunt Joan (Ron) Janssen, numerous nieces and nephews, other family and friends. Ronda is preceded in death by her husband and her parents. Visitation will be held for both Mr. and Mrs. Goetsch from 3-7PM on Monday, December 20th at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Ronda at 12:30PM on Tuesday, December 21st at Our Lady of the Lakes Parish – St. Mary Chapel, 300 Butler Street, Random Lake. Father Gideon Buya will preside. Mrs. Goetsch will be laid to rest at St. Mary's Cemetery in Random Lake following the service. Memorials are suggested to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice or to the Random Lake Historical Society. The Eernisse Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements; online condolences may be left at www.eernissefuneralhome.com .
