Ronald "Ron" Paradeis passed away peacefully on April 23, 2021 surrounded by loved ones.
Ron was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin on October 10, 1937 to Wilfred and Ann (nee Tackes) Paradeis. He grew up in Belgium, Wisconsin, and attended St. Mary's grade school in Lake Church, Wisconsin. In 1951, the family moved to Port Washington and Ron went to St. Mary High School and then four years at St. Lawrence Seminary. In 1960, he earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from St. Norbert College. In 1960, his father passed away and Ron ran the family oil business for the next 40 years. In 1969, Ron married Anne St. Peter at the Port Washington Country Club. They had two daughters.
Ron was always very active in the community. He was a member of the Port Washington Jaycees and the Knights of Columbus, sponsored a softball team, golf team, and bowling team for many years. Ron loved sports and was a lifetime Green Bay Packers fan, was a season ticket holder for 60 years and was at Lambeau Field on New Year's Eve in 1967 for the NFL Championship game, known as the Ice Bowl. He delivered food for the Meals on Wheels Program and was active in his church, St. John XXIII Parish. Ron was very patriotic and proud of his conservative values. Over the years, he enjoyed traveling all over the country with friends and family.
Ron is survived by his two children: daughter, Julie (Peter) Smith of Merton, WI, his son,Todd Paradeis of New York City, NY, son-in-law Matt Wilbert of Wild Rose, WI, and his dearest friend for the last 17 years, Christine Schultz of Port Washington. He is further survived by six grandchildren: Seika Paradeis, Jaclyn Smith, Alexsey Smith, Charlie Smith, Nicholas Wilbert and Brett Wilbert, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Ron was preceded in death by his wife Anne, his parents, his daughter Jill, and his brother Thomas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 28th at 6:30 PM at St. John XXIII Parish, St. Peter of Alcantara Church, 1800 N. Wisconsin St. in Port Washington. Father Patrick Wendt will preside over the Mass. He will be laid to rest next to his wife Anne at St. Mary's Parish Cemetery in Port Washington. Visitation for Ron will take place on Wednesday the 28th from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington.
A Knights of Columbus prayer service will take place at the funeral home at 4 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Jill Wilbert Scholarship c/o the Community Education Foundation of Port Washington-Saukville (www.porthighscholarship.org) or St. John XXIII Parish.
