IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ronald J.
Oelhafen
November 18, 1960 – March 26, 2025
Mr. Ron Oelhafen of Cedar Grove passed away unexpectedly at his residence Wednesday morning, March 26, 2025. He was 64 years old.
Ronald was born in Port Washington on November 18, 1960, son of Earl and Theresa (nee Bittner) Oelhafen. The family lived in Grafton briefly before moving to a dairy farm in Cedar Grove in 1961. Ron attended local schools, graduating from Cedar Grove High School in 1979, before completing an apprenticeship program at Lakeshore Technical College in the Tool & Die program. He worked at EST Company in Grafton and Harmon Tool in West Bend before taking on his current position at Matenaer Corporation in West Bend in 2001.
Ron was united in marriage with Christine Nack on May 5, 1990, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Lake Church. The couple settled in Cedar Grove and began their family.
Mr. Oelhafen was a member of Divine Savior Parish. He loved fishing, especially with his wife, and enjoyed hunting and spending time outdoors. Ron would never pass up one of the delicious breakfasts his wife would make, and cherished family dinners. Above all, he treasured time with his family and found joy in being with his granddaughter.
Ron could often be found outside in his garage, tinkering with various projects. He loved fixing things and always lent a helping hand to his children and others when they needed it. Ron enjoyed getting together at the family cabin with his brothers and sisters-in-law for summer holidays. He was looking forward to building a new garage on the property up north, which will now be done with love by his family, in his memory.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Christine of Cedar Grove, their four children: Rachel (Thomas) Seidel of Fond du Lac, Matthew (special friend Melanie) Oelhafen of Cedar Grove, Joseph (Mandi) Oelhafen of Oostburg, and Jacob (special friend Suzanne) Oelhafen of Cedar Grove, as well as his cherished granddaughter Naomi Seidel. Ron is further survived by sister Suzanne (Randy) Parker, brothers Steven (Lori) Oelhafen, David Oelhafen (special friend Brenda Lucarelli), and Brian (Allie Eichenhofer) Oelhafen, nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. Ron is preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, brother Mark Oelhafen, and brother-in-law Mark Buser.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6PM on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at Divine Savior – Holy Cross, 5330 County Road B, Belgium, WI. The family will greet visitors at the church on Thursday from 3PM – 5:45PM. Ron will be laid to rest at St. Mary Parish Cemetery in Lake Church the following day.
