Roger Eugene Schueller passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Belgium Gardens on March 3rd, 2026, at 83 years old.
He was born on August 29, 1942, the third son of the late Victor and Frances (nee Emmer) Schueller and resided in Cedar Grove, WI. He was a loving husband, a devoted dad, and a proud grandfather. He had a spirit of service, always looking to help others.
Roger graduated from Port High School in 1960 and worked on the family farm before and after his time in the service. He spent many years working as a tool grinder at Sharon Cutwell.
He met and married his beautiful wife, Julieta Luminarias, in Cagayan de Oro, Philippines in 1992, and they returned to his hometown and built a life together. They were blessed with two wonderful children, Joseph and Maria, who brought them endless joy.
Roger was a devout Catholic and loved serving others. He volunteered in many capacities in his faith community and beyond including serving with the Catholic Knights, the Catholic Order of Foresters, and the Belgium American Legion Post 412. He was also involved in the Church through ushering and delivering holy communion to the homebound. His generous heart extended across the world through his sponsorship of children with ChildFund International. He regularly wrote to the children he sponsored and cherished the relationships he built with them, even taking the opportunity to meet them.
He was an avid packer fan, loved to square dance with his wife, and enjoyed fixing anything and everything. He frequently played Sheepshead and always had a new joke to share.
He is survived by his loving wife, Julieta (Luminarias) Schueller of Cedar Grove, WI; his children, Joseph (Maddie) Schueller of Port Washinton, WI and Maria (Daulton) Valleskey of Lake Mills, WI; his precious grandchildren, Evelyn, Jonathan, Seth, Rosalie, and Levi; his brothers, Allen (Leona) Schueller, Daniel (Ruth) Schueller; his sister-in-law, Lourdes (Gabriel) Chan; his brother-in-law, Bernabe Luminarias; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Roger was preceded in death by his brothers, Ronald and Anthony Schueller; his sister, Karen Dingfelder; and four brother-in-laws in the Phillippines.
A Mass will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, 11 am at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Belgium. Visitation will take place from 9 am to 11 am. He will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Lake Church, in a private burial.
In lieu of flowers, memorials of your choice are appreciated.
The family would like to share heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Belgium Gardens and Preceptor Hospice, as well as the many family and friends who visited him in the days before he passed away.
