Robin Brisbin of Cedar Grove, formerly of Ravenna and Holly, Michigan, passed away at her home Sunday evening, May 24, 2020, following a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was 55 years old.
Robin was born in Grant, MI on August 5, 1964, daughter of Clifton and Beverly Hall Bonter. She attended local schools and graduated from Grant High School, Class of 1982, before earning her Associates degree at Baker College. On October 18, 1985, Robin was united in marriage with her high school sweetheart, Ronald S. Brisbin. The couple settled in Ravenna, MI and started their family, then moved briefly to Holly, MI and later to Cedar Grove, WI in 2010.
Robin was a member of Open Door Bible Church in Port Washington. She had been employed as an Executive Administrator with Kohler Company prior to her death. Robin loved decorating and remodeling. She was a wonderful hostess who loved cooking for family and friends. One to never sit idle, Robin was also a writer, speaker, and served many years as a Church Youth Group Leader. Her compassionate nature led her to work as a hospice aid for a few years. She was happiest when surrounded by her family and the many "kids and grandkids" she treated as her own.
Survivors include her husband Ron and their children: Stephanie (Theodore) Westerman of Oostburg, Megan (Daniel) Shier of Sheboygan, Michelle Brisbin of Rhinelander and Ryan Brisbin of Cedar Grove. She is also survived by brother Duane (Shelly) Bonter of Grant, MI, mother-in-law Joyce (the late Don) Brisbin of Ravenna, MI, brothers- and sisters-in-law Steve (Madeline) Brisbin of Grant, MI, Mark (Mary) Brisbin, also of Grant, MI, and Bill (Denise) Brisbin of Hopkins, MI. Robin is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and a great-niece. She is preceded in death by infant daughter Kelly Jo Brisbin, her parents Cliff and Beverly Bonter, and brothers Clifton (the late Grace), Richard, and Brad Bonter.
Funeral Services will be held at 7PM on Thursday, May 28th at Open Door Bible Church, 3420 County Road LL, Port Washington. Pastor Sid Litke will preside. The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH on Thursday from 3pm until services start at 7PM. We ask that you please keep Social Distancing Protocol in mind.
