Robert G. Wood, age 70, passed away at Aurora Hospital in Grafton on Friday, March 22, 2019. Robert was born in South Dakota on June 30, 1948 to Howard and Dorothy (Nee Dolph) Wood. Robert was a 1967 graduate of Random Lake High School and later went on to earn a culinary degree from Moraine Park in 2005. Over the years, he was employed at Tecumseh Products, Terrace Estates and Kier Soda Company. Robert was an avid fisherman. He also loved to hunt and watch the Brewers in his spare time. Above all, spending time with his family meant the most to Robert. Robert is survived by his wife Joyce, daughters Melissa Wilson, Rhonda Wood, grandsons Darian (Casey) Wilson, Marcel Wilson, great grandson Amari Wilson, step daughter Ann (Nic) Miller, step granddaughter Stephanie Misun, siblings Loni (Raymond) Cato, James (Janet) Wood, Ernie (Joyce) Wood, Blanche (Steve) Blaedow, siblings-in-law Joan (Roger) Maas, Theresa (David) Thomas, Annette (Joseph) Thomas, Elroy Feider, Gary Leon and special niece Lisa Powell. Robert is further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, siblings Dianne Bates, Harry Wood, Susan Wood, step sister Roseanne McCoy and beloved canine companion Bear. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at St. John's Lutheran Church 824 Fredonia Avenue Fredonia, WI 53021 at 1:00 PM. Pastor Marshal Frisque will officiate and Pastor Gary Paul will co-officiate. The family will receive visitors from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated. The family would like to thank Aurora Hospital in Grafton for the care they provided Robert to the very end.
