Obituary

ROBERT HEIKKINEN Bob Mr. Bob Heikkinen of Edgewater Drive in Grafton passed away suddenly at his residence Wednesday March 14 2012. He was 52 years old. Robert was born in Milwaukee on January 23 1960 son of William and Judith (nee Lahti) Heikkinen. He grew up in Port Washington and attended local schools graduating from Port Washington High School with the class of 1978. He attended Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design before joining his father in the family construction business W. Heikkinen Construction. In the mid 1990's he started R.W. Heikkinen Construction focusing on plan design and remodel work. On August 15 1987 Bob was united in marriage with Rosalinda Soto in Port Washington. Bob enjoyed photography as well as hunting fishing and golf. He enjoyed watching sports and was a huge fan of the Packers Badgers. He also liked watching NASCAR and NHRA drag racing. For a number of years Mr. Heikkinen taught autoCAD to students through La Esperanza in Milwaukee and had also worked as a member of the construction crew for the fund-raiser haunted house at St. Gabriel School in Hubertus for the last two years. Bob is survived by his sons Brad and Jeremy both of Cedarburg his parents Bill and Judy Heikkinen of Ironwood MI brother Jeff (Claire) Heikkinen of Kingsland GA sisters Kathy (Terry) Bretl of Port Washington and Sue (Jeff) Roller of Fredonia. He is further survived by his former wife Rose Gertsch of Cedarburg special friend Joyce Bartz of Grafton special friends Jimmy Janice Stemper of Little Kohler godmother Betty Jane Organist of Port Washington nieces nephews other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by an infant son Mitchell Robert Heikkinen. A memorial service is planned for Sunday March 25th. It will be held at 1PM at the north-east corner of Upper Lake Park. Rev. Jeff Suddendorf will officiate. Memorials to the family are appreciated in lieu of flowers.
