ROBERT C. SCHMIDT Robert Bob Schmidt age 83 years of 1767 Terrace Drive Port Washington died Monday evening December 25 2006 at Columbia St. Mary's Hospital in Mequon. He was born October 1 1923 in Milwaukee son of William and Adella Pagel Schmidt. On June 11 1955 he married Patricia Hanley at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Milwaukee. Bob served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was an artist for Milwaukee Public Schools retiring in 1983. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Port Washington and enjoyed painting golfing bowling horseshoes and baseball. He was a member of Plymouth Art Guild and a former member of Wisconsin Painters and Sculptors and Colorado Springs Art Guild. Survivors include his wife Patricia three children William (Susan) Schmidt of Belgium Lee Ann (Michael) Buyeske of Port Washington and James Schmidt of Eagle eight grandchildren Jennifer Jaclyn Amy Patrick Megan Mikey Brandon and Ashley one great grandson Harrison and one sister Shirley (Gerald) Gelhar of Pewaukee. He was preceded in death by one sister Ellen Rochol. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday evening December 29 7 PM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Port Washington with Father Allan Sommer officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation at the Eernisse Funeral Home Port Washington Friday from 4-6:30 PM.
