ROBERT J. NIESING
Mr. Robert Niesing of Port Washington passed away at Lawlis Hospice Tuesday evening, November 3, 2015. He was 72 years old. Bob was born in Sheboygan on April 12, 1943, son of John and Caroline Kielsmeier Niesing. His family later moved to Milwaukee. Bob was united in marriage with Virginia "Ginny" Johnson on September 19, 1964 at Immanuel Reformed United Church of Christ in Milwaukee. The couple started their family and later moved to Port Washington in 1979. Mr. Niesing worked in sales and delivery for the Chicago Tribune for over 40 years. His work allowed him to travel the entire state of Wisconsin and meet some very interesting people, including celebrities such as David Letterman, Walter Peyton, Paul Newman and Michael Jordan. Bob enjoyed singing, softball, bowling, attending sporting events and watching the Green Bay Packers. He loved animals, but most important to him was time spent with his family. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Ginny, their children Laura (Kenneth) Markley of Janesville, Michael (friend Sharon Irwin) Niesing of Grafton, Candice "Candy" Bugenhagen Shafer of Port Washington and Brian Bugenhagen of Washington, four grandchildren: Molly & Luke Markley of Orlando, FL and Braden & Sydney Shafer of Port Washington, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Beverly Cox. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, November 7th at 1PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave, in Port Washington. Rev. Kenneth Markley will preside. The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home on Saturday from 11AM-1PM.
