Robert Lewis Leicht of Cedarburg, age 84, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 6, 2017. He was born to Albert and Mary (nee Karch) Leicht on September 9, 1932 in Sheboygan. Robert graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1951 and served in the United States Naval Reserves from 1951-1953. Robert was united in marriage with Shirley Ann Mannchen on June 9, 1956 in Kohler. They lived a short time in Racine and Milwaukee, finally settling in Cedarburg in 1958 where they raised five children.
Robert was a member of his local Lions Club. His interests included woodworking, watching the Green Bay Packers and a special love for trains. He took many vacations with his wife by way of the railroad and they also enjoyed cruises to the Caribbean together. Later in life he lived in Grafton where he made many friends while walking his dog, Mara, multiple times a day.
Robert is survived by his children, Mary (Bob) Kroeplien of Sheboygan Falls, Carol (Gary) Boehle of Port Washington, JoAnne (Rick) Roehsler of Oostburg, Sue (Barry) Mayer of Oshkosh and Mark (Rae Lynn) Leicht of Grafton. He is further survived by his grandchildren, great-granchildren, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley.
A Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the Arrowhead Apt. Clubhouse located at 2191 Delaware Ave. in Grafton from 12:00-4:30PM.
