Obituary

Robert H. Kulbacki (Bobby K) passed away unexpectedly at the age of 80, doing what he loved most, boating on Pike Lake. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 18,1943 to the late Henry and Dorothy (Pellegrino) Kulbacki. He graduated from Cody High School with the class of 1961. On October 14, 1995, he was united in marriage to Bonnie Scholten at the Little White Chapel in Las Vegas. They spent 40 years together.

From a young age, Robert's affinity for the water was evident. He discovered his love for boating on the serene Indian River and Burt Lake at the tender age of 10, a passion that would carry on throughout his entire life. As an avid boater, Robert's experiences were not limited to simply riding the waves; he immersed himself in the world of boat building and crafted his very own 16' wooden catboat from a Randy Gillis design, a testament to his ingenuity and meticulous craftsmanship. He was a member of the Antique Outboard Motor Club (AOMCI) Northwoods and Gator chapters and attended almost every Tomahawk National annual event since 1983.

Beyond his love for the water, Robert found joy in the artistry of automobiles and motorcycles. His enthusiasm for all things automotive propelled him to explore the depths of this realm and embrace the beauty of locomotion. He was a member of The Lost Riders and British Biker Triumph clubs. In 2003 he joined the Iron Butt Association with a group of riders who motorcycle 1,000 miles in 24 hours and traveled from Florida to Alaska. Robert's distinct sense of adventure even earned him a high diving scholarship, showcasing his fearlessness and remarkable athleticism.

He will be greatly missed by his wife, Bonnie; his daughter Karrie (Robert) Bixler; grandchildren, Brad, Bryce and Katie Bixler and Sebastian Kulbacki, along with many other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his son Robert, his sister April, and his granddaughter Ariel.

In honor of Robert's wishes a private family service was held.

The family would like to thank the Washington County Sheriffs and Dive Team, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Hartford fire Department, Richfield Fire Department, Kewaskum Fire Department, Slinger Fire Department, Allenton Fire Department, West Bend Fire Department, the Wisconsin State Patrol, and all the volunteers that assisted when Robert was missing.
