Robert A. Hortvet of Mequon, formerly of Cedarburg, passed away October 10, 2016. He was 94 years old. Beloved husband of the late Phyllis (nee Comstock), loving father of Jane (Charles) Wright, Susan (Gary) Dickerson and Laurie (Steve Antonellis) Hortvet, proud grandpa of David (Heather) Dickerson, Kevin (Kristi) Wright, Karen Wright, Thomas (Christina) Dickerson and Kristen (Ben) McGuire. Further survived by great-grandchildren Eleanor and Andrew Wright, brother Douglas (the late Barbara) Hortvet, brother-in-law Jack (the late Carolyn) Daehling, other family and friends. Robert was a proud WWII veteran, serving in the Army Air Corps as a navigator, and was a member of North Shore Congregational Church in Fox Point. Private family services will be held, followed by military honors. He will be laid to rest beside his wife at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield. Memorials in Robert's name may be made to the American Heart Association.
