Mr. Rickey Crawford, of Sauk Trail Road in the Town of Holland, passed away at his home Friday evening, March 24, 2017, while surrounded by his loving family. He was 64 years old. Rickey was born in Momence, IL on January 26, 1953, son of Myron and Violet (Stelle) Crawford. The family moved to Pittsville in 1968 and Rickey attended local schools before starting a career in the construction industry. Rickey and his life partner Sheri Schroeder moved to Dexterville, WI where they lived until her death in 2008. Rickey moved to Cedar Grove in 2010. Mr. Crawford worked as a subcontractor for Bee Window & Siding out of Wisconsin Rapids for several years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and participated in local pool and dart leagues. Survivors include his dear friend and companion, Maureen Swenson of Cedar Grove, daughter Amber Crawford of Marshfield, father Myron "Doc" Crawford of Babcock and mother Violet (the late David) Pralle of Pittsville, nine siblings: Deb (Rick) Armagost of Vesper, Renee (Pete) Yetter, Gary Crawford, Davy Pralle, Monte (Kris) Pralle, and Rod (Pam) Pralle, all of Pittsville, Lelsie (Dee) Crawford of Babcock, Audrey (Terry) Chamberlain, also of Babcock, and Kathy Crawford of Pittsville. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his step-father David Pralle and his life partner Sheri Schroeder. A Celebration of Life will be held on April 8th at City Point Community Center in Pittsville after 1pm.
