Mr. Rick Schulz of Saukville passed peacefully Friday, September 27, 2019, at Samaritan Health Center in West Bend. He was 63 years old. Rick was born on August 29, 1956, son of Edwin and Grace Kirchen Schulz, and grew up in Port Washington. He graduated from Port Washington High School before obtaining his degree in Criminal Justice from Concordia University. On April 18, 1986 Rick was united in marriage with Sandy Blumenberg . The couple settled in Saukville and raised their family. Mr. Schulz was the Director of the Saukville Park & Recreation Department from 2000 until 2010, planning the Fourth of July parades, Christmas tree lightings and Easter egg hunts. Rick was a member of Open Door Bible Church. He was an Ultimate Fan of the Green Bay Packers, and was very active with the youth sports programs in Saukville; he coached little league and helped in maintaining the Rebel football field. Mr. Schulz was also an avid weightlifter. Rick especially enjoyed attending the 6AM Friday Men's Bible Study group at his church. Survivors include his wife Sandy of Saukville and their six sons: David (Michelle) Brouillette of Fredonia, Rick J. Schulz, Jr. of Columbus, MO, Ray (Michelle) Brouillette of Grafton, Nicholas (Jen) Schulz of Hendersonville, NC, Lucas (Tilly) Schulz of West Bend, and Andrew (Lauren) Schulz of Port Washington. He is further survived by 15 grandchildren, brothers Ralph (Alice) Schulz of Adams, Edwin (Mary Pat) Schulz of Green Bay, and Todd (Kim) Schulz of Belgium, sister-in-law Karen Schulz of Adams, other family and friends. He is preceded in death by daughter Julie Brouillette, his parents, and brother Chris Schulz. A Memorial Service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, October 5th at Open Door Bible Church, 3420 County Road LL in Port Washington. Pastor Sid Litke will preside the service. The family will greet visitors at the CHURCH on Saturday from 10AM until services at 12 noon. Memorials are appreciated in lieu of flowers. Rick also treasured the many years of friendship and frequent visits by Bob Husting and Chuck Dieringer.
