RICHARD A. ROKUS Mr. Richard Rokus age 71 years of Whitefish Drive in Port Washington died Tuesday February 6th 2007 at Cedar Grove Gardens in Cedar Grove where he has been a resident for a short while. Richard was born July 13 1935 in the Town of Seneca son of George and Leona Arnold Rokus. On November 24 1956 he married Helen Kriegler at Cooks Valley Catholic Church in Colfax Wisconsin. He began teaching Industrial Arts at Port Washington High School in 1962 becoming the Local Educational Vocational Coordinator in 1970. Mr. Rokus became the Vice Principal at Port Washington High School in 1980. In 1997 he retired from the School District after 35 years of dedicated service. Mr. Rokus was a member of St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church in Port Washington. He had spent many summers working construction while he was teaching and enjoyed deer hunting small and large game-hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife Helen four children David Rokus of Port Washington Susan (Richard) Pohlod of Marshfield Rena Rokus of Milwaukee and Richard (Cindy) Rokus of Pewaukee; eight grandchildren; three brothers Howard (Jane) Rokus of Saukville William (Shirley) Rokus of Wisconsin Rapids and James (Mary Beth) Rokus of Wisconsin Rapids; nieces nephews other relatives and many friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30AM on Saturday February 10th at St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church 1800 N. Wisconsin St. Port Washington. Father Patrick Wendt will officiate. Interment will take place at St. James Catholic Cemetery in Vesper WI. The family will receive visitors on Friday Feb. 9th at the Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 W.
