Obituary

Richard E. Elbe Mr. Dick Elbe of Cedar Court in Port Washington passed away at Heritage Nursing Home in Port early Thursday morning April 14 2005. He was 77 years old. Dick was born on July 19 1927 in Sheboygan son of Edward and Melitta Schmidt Elbe. After graduating from high school Mr. Elbe took on an apprenticeship as a photo engraver at Commercial Engraving Company in Sheboygan before joining the US Army in 1948. After leaving service he was united in marriage with Carol Heronymus in Sheboygan on October 3 1954. The couple moved to Milwaukee and then to Port Washington in 1969. Dick most recently had worked as a photo engraver for Western Publishing Company in Racine retiring in 1996 after 10 years on the job. He was a member of the Graphic Communication International Union Local M577 a past member of the Sheboygan Community Players where he participated in many plays between 1949-1957 and a current member of the Port Washington Senior Citizens Club where he enjoyed shooting in the pool league. Mr. Elbe also enjoyed traveling playing poker and was an avid reader. He is survived by his wife Carol of Port Washington 1 daughter Lisa Elbe of Altadena CA 1 brother John Elbe of Sheboygan and 1 sister-in-law Doris Braeger also of Sheboygan. He is further survived by nieces nephews other relatives and friends. Funeral Services and Military Rites will be held at the Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 W. Grand Ave. Port Washington on Monday April 18th at 4PM. Rev. James Eggert will officiate. The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home Monday from 3-4 PM. br /Service:br /4:00 PM at 1600 W.
