Richard "Dick" Doucette passed away at his home on June 20, 2019. He was 73 years old. He was born in Port Washington, Wisconsin on July 3, 1945 to Sherwood and Gladys (nee Schmidt) Doucette. He was united in marriage to Jean (nee Viesselmann) Doucette on July 15, 1967 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Port Washington, Wisconsin.
Dick loved nature, which included everything from hunting, fishing, logging and spending time on the lakes. In Dick's later years, he continued to enjoy the outdoors and nature by spending time photographing and watching wildlife. His cabin up north always held a special place in his heart. During Dick's working years, he was a dedicated machinist at Bolen's Inc. in Port Washington. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Dick is survived by his wife of nearly 52 years Jean, children Kevin (Patty) Doucette, Vicky (Tim) Duley, 4 grandchildren, brother Wayne (Karen) Doucette and sister Debbie (Mark) Gasper. He is preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial Service for Dick will be held on Friday, June 28, 2019 at 6:00PM at Eernisse Funeral Home 171 North Royal Avenue Belgium, Wisconsin 53004. The family will receive visitors from 4:00PM until the time of the service at 6:00PM. In lieu of flowers memorials to Compassus Hospice are appreciated.
