RICHARD D. BROOKS nbsp;Richard ldquo;Dickrdquo; Brooks age 56 years of 909 5th Ave. Grafton died early Thursday morning April 22 2010 at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer.nbsp; He was born June 21 1953 in Laona WI son of the late Francis and Cleo Hupf Brooks. When he was eleven years old the family moved to Whitelaw WI where he attended St. Michaelrsquo;s Catholic School.nbsp; Richard was a 1971 graduate of Valders High School.nbsp; After graduation he served in the U.S. Navy from 1972 ndash; 1976 after which he attended UW-Milwaukee.nbsp; On May 21 1979 he married Cheryll Boyer in Two Rivers.nbsp; Dick was a bartender at the former Grafton Hotel and currently served as the bar manager at Port Hotel and Restaurant in Port Washington.nbsp; He is survived by his wife Cheryll his son Richard Jr. of Belgium WI daughter Lauren of Madison WI his fourteen siblings Faye (Del) Walker of Sheboygan Don (Julie) Brooks of Two Rivers Rosie Keesler of Manitowoc Sandy (Al) Wellner of Manitowoc Robert (Shirley) Brooks of Sheboygan Ronald (Chris) Brooks of Milwaukee Linda (Jim) Emond of Two Rivers Margaret Brooks of Kellnersville Cleo (Dennis) Rausch of Chilton Catherine (Fred) Vande Hey of Denmark Mary (Dean) Jacobs of Two Rivers Vance (Sara) Brooks of Francis Creek Lisa (Rick) Genske of Manitowoc and Callen Brooks of Two Rivers.nbsp; He is further survived by his father-in-law Larry (Barbara) Boyer of Mishicot brothers-in-law and sisters in law Randy (Alice) Boyer of Anniston AL Annette Boyer of Neenah Carmen (Bob) Wuensch of Two Rivers and Jeffrey (Victoria) Boyer of Green Bay 20 aunts and uncles 50 nieces and nephews and 25 great nieces and nephews.nbsp; He was preceded in death by his parents his mother in law Betty Boyer nephews Jeremy Kocourek and Jason Krsko great nephew Matthew Keesler and numerous aunts and uncles. Funeral Tuesday April 27 11 AM at Knollwood Memorial Park Chapel 1500 State Hwy. 310 Manitowoc followed by military honors.nbsp; Visitation at the Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 W. Grand Ave. Port Washington on Monday from 4-7 PM and at the chapel at Knollwood Memorial Park on Tuesday from 10 AM until time of services.nbsp; In lieu of flowers memorials to the American Cancer Society appreciated.
