REX J. EDE BORGENHAGEN Mr. Rex. Borgenhagen of Port Washington Road in the Town of Grafton passed away at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee Friday October 5 2012 following a motorcycle accident. He was 45 years old. Rex was born in Port Washington on December 27 1966 son of Jan and Carol Momper Borgenhagen. The family moved to the Cedar Grove area in 1979. On October 10 1992 he was united in marriage with Erin Ede in Sheboygan. The couple settled in the Town of Grafton. Mr. Borgenhagen was employed as a model maker at Frank Mayer Associates in Grafton. Rex was an extremely kind generous and loving man who was deeply spiritual. A man of sterling character; everyone he touched was the better for it. His presence was a comfort to many. Very dear to his heart was time spent with his wife and their cats his family and his nieces nephews many of whom he mentored on a personal basis. Rex held a profound appreciation and love of the natural world. He enjoyed hiking canoeing camping sailing and geo-caching as well as woodworking and patternmaking. Mr. Borgenhagen was a very active volunteer in repopulating sturgeon throughout the state. Rex lives on in the heart of his loving wife Erin and also in the hearts of his mother Carol Borgenhagen of Cedar Grove and 2 brothers: Sky (Gay) Borgenhagen of Cascade and Lance Borgenhagen of Port Washington. His memory will also be cherished by his nieces nephews: Geeshik Gavin Tegan Amanda Adam Andrew Brandin Kayla Sara Jennifer Shawn Christopher Jonathan grand-nieces and -nephews: Atheana Adrian Willow Ilana Leela Merrick Adina Ariana Cianna and Hayden in-laws aunts uncles cousins other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his father. The family will receive visitors at the Eernisse Funeral Home 1167 Washington Ave. Cedarburg on Tuesday from 3-6PM with a Flyaway service to follow. Those so inclined may give donations to the charity of their choice to honor Rex's life.
