Mrs. Rene T. Born (formerly Resch) of Minocqua formerly of Fredonia and Grafton passed away Wednesday March 18 2015 at Horizon's Lawlis Family Hospice in Mequon after a long hard fought battle with lupus and cancer. She was 57 years old. Rene was born May 23 1957 in Ladysmith the daughter of Richard and Rita (nee Lechleitner) Baker. On May 24 1991 she was united in marriage with Richard Born. He preceded her in death in 2011. Rene worked at Allen Edmonds in Port Washington where she recrafted shoes and prior to that did in home childcare in the Fredonia area. Rene took every opportunity offered and enjoyed being with her family and friends. Rene is survived by her two sons: Jeremy Resch of Jordan MN and David (April) Resch of Port Washington and her granddaughter Daphne Resch. She is further survived by 5 siblings: Linda (Wayne) Drexel of Eden Linette (Earl) Thompson of Sugar Grove IL Beverly (Jeffrey) Breaker of Trego Deborah Schantz of Wausau and Todd (Pamela) Baker of Tripoli sister-in-law Karen (Michael) Baker of Minocqua former husband Daniel Resch of Port Washington nieces nephews other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and 4 siblings: Phillip Paul JoAnn and Michael. A private family service will be held. Rene will be laid to rest by her parents and brother Michael at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Woodruff.
