Jean Helm age 79 years of Saukville died Tuesday morning August 29 at Columbia St. Mary's Hospital Ozaukee in Mequon. She was born June 8 1927 in Newburg daughter of George and Mathilda Zeldinger Kimla. On July 27 1946 she married Arthur Helm in Saukville. Mrs. Helm enjoyed her position as matron/cook for the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Department from 1967 -1978 while her husband served as Ozaukee County Sheriff. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Saukville. She was also a member and past president of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 470 and was also past president of Ozaukee County Legion Auxiliary. She was a poll worker for the Village of Saukville and enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren especially while they were at the family cottage in Crivitz. Survivors include her husband Arthur two sons Richard (Judy) and Arthur R. Butch (Jean) Helm both of Saukville her grandchildren Rick Ryan Laura Adam and Andrew her great grandchildren Alexis Paige and Nathan nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday evening August 31 7 PM at Immaculate Conception Church in Saukville with Father Karl Acker officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
