Obituary

Mr. Raymond A. Learned of Waterford formerly of Fredonia passed away Tuesday morning September 23 2014 at Lawlis Family Hospice in Mequon. He was 80 years old. Ray was born December 31 1933 in Oscoda MI the son of Clifford and Joyce Westfall Learned. He was united in marriage with Lorraine Lolly Magoch on August 3 1956 at St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Saukville. She preceded him in death in 2011. The couple settled in Fredonia after their marriage where they started their family. Ray was a master plumber who worked for Muelberg Plumbing in Waubeka. He purchased the business in the late 1970's and it became Ray Learned Plumbing. Ray spent his spare time working on his cottage in Long Lake (Town of Belle Plaine). He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan who enjoyed bird watching traveling and playing Keno. He will be remembered as a soft spoken gentleman with a dry sense of humor. Ray is survived by three children: Wayne Learned of Rosendale Darlene (Gerald) Wagner of Saukville and Maxine (Edward Stefaniak) Learned of Muskego. He is further survived by five grandchildren: Melissa Missy (Rich) Rozek Iris Kimbel Jeffrey Christopher Stefaniak and Raquel (Michael) McCarthy eight great-grandchildren: Holly Paige Austin Logan Joshua Jonathan Tatum and Taylor 1 great-great-granddaughter Alexandria brothers: Fritz (Cathy) Learned John (Barbara) Learned and Michael (Barbara) Learned special niece Carla Karrels as well as nieces nephews other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his sister Karen Lucas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Saturday September 27 at Holy Rosary Parish Holy Cross Chapel 5330 Hwy B in Belgium. Father Jim Vojtik will officiate. Ray will be laid to rest in the parish cemetery beside Lolly. The family will receive visitors from 4-7PM on Friday evening September 26 at Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 W. Grand Ave. in Port Washington and again on Saturday morning September 27 from 10-11AM at Holy Cross Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the WI Parkinsons Association.
