Raymond L. Gantner Raymond Gantner age 84 years of Belgium passed away in the morning hours of Thursday August 14 2008 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Ray was born on July 5 1924 in the Town of Belgium son of Arthur and Katherine Depies Gantner. On September 4 1948 he married Beatrice Gall at St. Mary Catholic Church in Lake Church. The couple ran a dairy farm in the Town of Belgium until Ray retired in 1990. Mr. Gantner was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Lake Church. After he retired he enjoyed woodworking trips up north with the family and working part-time for a local cattle trucking company. Mr. Gantner is survived by his six children; Gerald (the late Vivian) Gantner of Belgium James (Monica) Gantner of Grafton John (Monica) Gantner of Belgium Allen Gantner of Belgium Mary Kay (Roger) Kaland of Sun Prairie and Nancy (Michael) Burton of Farmington MN. He is further survived by 15 grandchildren 6 great-grandchildren 2 sisters Alvera Wiskerchen of Hartford and Doris (Joe) Lochen of Jackson nieces nephews other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Beatrice 1 brother Eugene and daughter-in-law Vivian. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday August 18th at 6:30 PM at St. Mary Catholic Church Lake Church with Father James Ernster officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his wife at St. Mary Parish Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday August 18th from 3-6 PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home 171 N. Royal Ave. in Belgium.
