Obituary

RAYMOND Frenchy ANTOINE Mr. Raymond Antoine on Main St. in Belgium passed away on Wednesday April 12 2006 at Gables on The Pond in Random Lake where he had been a resident for the last month. Raymond was born on March 27 1917 in Belgium son of Eugene and Susan Anzia Antoine. Frenchy was a 1936 graduate of Port Washington High School and a member of the 1936 Class B State Championship basketball team as well as a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Madison with a degree in mechanical engineering. He served as a Captain in the US Air Force during WWII serving much of his time with the 8th Air Force in England. He served during the Korean Conflict as well. Mr. Antoine worked as an engineer in Milwaukee before coming to Rice Pump in Belgium; he retired in 1957 but continued to do consulting work for them for ten more years. He also served as scoutmaster in Belgium from 1960 -1973. Raymond was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Lake Church where he served as commentator for 23 years member of the Belgium American Legion where he served as treasurer for 33 years and a member of VFW Post 5373. He is survived by his two sisters Bernice (Warren) Haseley of Port Washington and Geraldine (the late Kenneth) Watry of Fredonia nieces nephews other relatives and many dear friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday April 18th 10AM from the Eernisse Funeral Home (171 N. Royal Ave. Belgium) going to St. Mary Lake Church for Mass at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will take place at the Eernisse Funeral Home Belgium on Monday evening 4-8PM and again Tuesday morning from 9-10AM.
