Obituary

Randall "Randy" M. Holtz went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Froedtert Hospital ICU in Wauwatosa, WI. He was 76 years old.

Randy was born on October 30, 1948, in Plymouth, WI, to parents Walter Roy and Anita (née Alwardt) Holtz.

Randy graduated from Germantown High School in Germantown, WI, where he enjoyed wrestling and boxing. He proudly served in the United States National Guard, where he traveled extensively and participated in special projects across the country. Following his service, Randy worked most of his life as a contractor, specializing in painting and landscaping.

Randy loved fishing, camping, gardening, playing pool, swimming, and spending time with his family, friends, and grandchildren. He loved daily calls to his brother Walter about the Packers and the Brewers. Randy had a special gift for growing beautiful flowers, a talent admired by all who knew him. He enjoyed going out to dinner and dancing with his sweetheart, Luann. Randy loved life, had a heart for helping others, and made friends easily. He was a gentle soul who deeply cherished his family, his grandchildren, and above all, his beloved Luann. Growing up, he adored his mother, who affectionately called him "The Little King." Though known in his younger years as a tough guy, "the Mayor", by the grace of God he became a devoted follower of Jesus Christ.

He is survived by his loving wife and soulmate of 22 years, Luann; his brother, Walter (Laurie) Holtz; stepchildren, Crystal Moore and Matthew (Kaylan) Johnson; special niece and nephew, Shanta (Sean) McElroy and Wally John Holtz; as well as many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Diane (nee Holtz) Wieting.

A Celebration of Randy's life will be held at The Deco in West Allis, WI (7140 W Greenfield Ave, West Allis, WI 53214) on Thursday, September 11, 2025 from 4PM to 6PM, with a prayer service to follow beginning at 6PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Luann Johnson.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Karen Sue Carlson, Dr. Nirav Shah, Jenna N.P., and the staff at Grace Clinic; Dr. Franco with Froedtert Liver Team, Dr. Mark Bettag, and Sheboygan Cancer and Blood Specialists; as well as the doctors and staff of St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan for their care and compassion. They also wish to thank the staff at Marriott SpringHill Suites for their kindness and support during Luann's stays.

Randy will be dearly missed, but his love, laughter, and steadfast faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. We rejoice in knowing that he is now at home with his Savior, Jesus Christ.
