Mrs. Rafaela Chisum of Port Washington passed away early Thursday morning August 21 2014 at Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Port Washington. She was 91 years old. Rafaela was born on October 4 1922. She moved to Wisconsin in the 1960s. Mrs. Chisum worked at the warehouse for Krier Preserving Company in Belgium retiring after over 30 years on the job. She had lived in Oostburg and Belgium before moving to Saukville and later began residing at Heritage in 2008. Mrs. Chisum enjoyed spending time with her family and great-grandchildren trips to the casino and crocheting. She is survived by her daughter Sarah Lopez of Saukville 9 grandchildren: Norma (John) Neahous of Port Washington Joseph and William Lopez of Saukville Sheila (Michael) Vela Charlotte (Andrea) Cardona both of San Antonio TX Jamie Debra and Rene Cardona and Bobbi (Michael) Rodriguez all of Laredo TX and 10 great-grandchildren: Andrea Amanda Tanner Evan Adolfo David Mallory Skye Derek and Devin. She is further survived by son-in-law Rene Cardona of Laredo TX 3 brothers: Jesus (Consuelo) Guzman Alejandro Guzman and Carlos (Guadalupe) Guzman all of Eagle Pass TX sister Evangelina (the late Jose) Esquivel of Sonora TX nieces nephews other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Richard Chisum daughter Mary Cardona sons David and Lude Chisum as well as brothers Antonio and Bruno Flores. A Memorial Service will be held at 4 PM on Monday August 25 at the Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 W. Grand Ave. Port Washington. Rev. Colson Leach will preside. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4PM. Rafaela will be laid to rest in St. Nicholas Cemetery Town of Belgium.
