RACHEL L. MEYER Ms. Rachel Meyer of Mineral Springs Drive in Port Washington passed away unexpectedly in Milwaukee on Saturday November 22 2014. She was 25 years old. Rachel was born in Milwaukee on October 3 1989 daughter of Shawn and Tracy Danback Meyer. Rachel grew up in Port Washington and attended local schools graduating from Port Washington High School as a proud member of the Class of 2007. While at PWHS she was a member of the Varsity Dance Squad and the swim team. Rachel was an avid reader a talented artist and enjoyed photography travel animals and writing in her journal. She loved swimming and going to the beach listening to others and helping them with their problems and collecting all things pineapple. Rachel is survived by her daughter Layla of Port Washington parents Tracy Meyer of Port Washington and Shawn Mayer of Naples FL sister Heather Meyer and brother Thomas Meyer both of Port Washington. She is also survived by maternal grandparents Jim June Danback of Necedah aunts and uncles: Barb (fiance Tim Risch) Philipps of Celina OH Lori (Mike) Fehland of Zion IL Kris (the late Mike) Meyer of Allenton Colleen (Ed) Serchen of Random Lake Dan (Laura) Meyer of Waubeka and Pat Meyer of Wausau. Rachel is further survived by cousins Nick (Jen) Philipps Ryan (Megan) Philips both of Celina OH Jessica Sarah Josh Fehland all of Zion IL Karrie Kim of AZ Katherine (Mike) McNerney of Fredonia Bob Serchen of Hartford Eric (Jessica) Meyer of Waubeka and Katy Meyer of Kewaskum other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her grandparents Walter June Meyer uncle Mike Meyer and cousin Chloe Phillips. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon on Saturday November 29th at St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church 1800 N. Wisconsin Ave. Port Washington. Father Tom Lijewski will preside. The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH on Saturday from 10am until services at 12 noon. Memorials to the family are suggested in lieu of flowers.
