R. Curtiss "Curt" Laue of Port Washington departed this world on Monday, January 22, 2018. He was born to Richard and Onalee (nee Teumer) Laue in Sheboygan on March 13, 1968. He now resides in God's peaceful heavenly home.
In his short time on earth, he humbly accomplished a great deal. As a skilled carpenter, he generously donated his time to Habitat for Humanity, Builders for Christ and Rebuilding Together. A friend to many, Curt was always willing to lend a hand. Being a keyboard player and vocalist in several bands gave him great enjoyment and established many good friendships. His Christian faith enabled him to accept and address the numerous challenges to his declining health in the last 2 ½ years.
Curt is survived by his mother Onalee, his sister, Constance (Terry) Collins; nieces, Spencer and Samantha Collins; Aunts, LaDonna (Donald) Mallams, Donna Hill and Jean Laue; advisor, Pastor Lyle; friend and mentor, Ron Mans; close friends, Charles, Scott, Turk and Jason. Curt was loved and will be remembered by many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father, Richard "Rick"; uncles, Bob Hill and Chuck Laue.
A Memorial Service will be held at 5:30PM on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Lepanto Banquet Hall at Country Inn & Suites (350 E. Seven Hills Rd. Port Washington, WI) with Pastor Wayne DeVrou presiding. Visitation will be at the the BANQUET HALL from 4:00pm until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to Habitat for Humanity in Curt's name would be appreciated.
Curt's family would like to express a special thank you to the nursing staff and doctors at Froedtert Hospital, especially the Transplant and Cancer Units.
